What To Expect

Wondering how booking and session planning works for portrait sessions? How your session will go? Or how you receive your images? Let me help!

• Booking and Planning

  So you've decided you would love to book a session? Awesome! Feel free to email me (LibbyHackett@libbyhackettphotography.com) or shoot me a message on Facebook to get started!

  We will go over what your hopes are for your session. That means we will discuss your package options but more importantly what YOU want out of your session. We will go over locations, a preferred shot list if you have one, color schemes, styling, etc. This gives me an idea of what props/accessories I need to order or prepare to make your vision a reality. My goal is to take the stress of planning off your shoulders!

• At Your Session

  About a week before your session I will reach out, confirm, and go over any additional details that need ironed out, meeting places, etc.

  When your session date comes I will be there to help walk you through poses (“what do I do with my hands?”) to make sure everyone looks their best and feels relaxed. Feeling nervous? Totally normal… but I promise everyone will be loosened up in no time!

  I will capture classic portraits, candids, and some artistic photos to round out your gallery.

  I'll come packed with all the props and accessories we discussed. Including but not limited to blankets, chairs, stools, crates, tubs, toys, or anything else we need!

• After Your Session

  I will get to work! I go through all of the images that I shot at your session and remove any duplicates or mis-shots and give them some soft edits.

  (As well as sharing a few sneak peeks for you to see, usually within 24 hours!)

  All of your options will then get uploaded to an online, watermarked proofing gallery. There you will pick your favorites to be hand edited. You will choose the amount of edited images included in your package and the option to add-on more if you would like. (Your proofing gallery is usually uploaded within one-two weeks.)

  Your selected images will then be hand edited. This would include professional touch ups, “swapping" smiles from a string of group photos to get the best possible portrait, fixing backgrounds, color correcting, etc. (One-two weeks from when you confirm your selections.)

  Your finished, edited, full-res, unwatermarked images will then be uploaded to new gallery where you can download (included in your package!) your images for online sharing. You will also receive a print release for printing those downloads at locations of your choosing.

• Can I Order High-Quality Prints and Packages?

  Yes! I work with a reputable printing company that produces beautiful prints, canvases, and more! The option to add these items to your “cart" will be available directly on your gallery . I will go through your selections, send them to print, and then contact you when your order is ready for pickup.
